Gamskarkogel is 2467 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located in country Austria 4 km east-northeast from the center of Anger and 4 km east-northeast from the center of Vorderschneeberg. At the top there is also mountain hut Gamskarkogelhütte. Obere Tofernalm is also relatively close. The peak is located northwest of the valley Kleinelendtal.
