Butzenthörl is a saddle at an altitude of 2724 meters located in the High Tauern mountain range. The saddle is located 5 km east from the center of Zirknitz and 5 km east-northeast from the center of Göritz. The nearest mountain hut is Sadnighaus, located 4km south-southwest. A bit closer is Patschghütte, which is located 3km to the east-southeast. 4 km northeast of the saddle there is lake Weißsee. 6 km northeast from the saddle there is glacier Schapperebenkees, 6 km north-northeast from the saddle there is also glacier Mölltaler Gletscher. The saddle is located above the valley Zirknitztal.
