The nearest mountain hut is Tuxerjoch Haus, located 3km south. A little further is bivouac Knappenlöcher. 7 km southeast from the saddle there is glacier Federbettkees, 7 km south-southeast from the saddle there is also glacier Gefrorene Wand Kees. The saddle is located west-northwest of the valley Tuxertal.
