Schöberlriegel is 1704 meter high peak and is part of the Prealps East of the Mur. The peak is located 6 km south from the center of Trattenbach and 6 km west-northwest from the center of Mariensee. The nearest mountain hut is Wetterkoglerhaus, located 3km south-southeast. A bit closer is Kranichberger Schwaig, which is located 1.1km to the north. Northwest of the summit is the valley Talergraben. The peak is located above the ridge Weißeckriegel.
