Hinterer Seekopf is 3234 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 0.6 km east-southeast of peak Vorderer Seekopf. The nearest mountain hut is Badener Hütte, located 1.8km northeast. A little further is bivouac Blinigalm. 1.3 km west-northwest from the summit there is glacier Garaneberkees, 1.6 km south-southeast from the summit there is also glacier Hexenkees. The peak is located northeast of the valley Timmeltal.
