The nearest mountain hut is Edelhütte, located 0.7km north. Andreas-Hofer-Hütte is also relatively close. 6 km southeast from the saddle there is glacier Kainzenkarkees, 7 km southeast from the saddle there is also glacier Hasenkarkees. The saddle is located above the valley Stillupgrund.
