Description:
Hornscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2958 meters and is part of the Schober Group. The saddle is located 7 km west-southwest from the center of Putschall and 8 km west from the center of Ranach. The nearest mountain hut is Elberfelder Hütte, located 2.0km west-northwest. A little further is bivouac Gösnitzkopf-Biwak. 0.5 km west from the saddle there is glacier Hornkees. The saddle is located above the valley Gradental.
