The peak is located 4 km northeast from the center of Stanz im Mürztal and 5 km southeast from the center of Wartberg im Mürztal. The nearest mountain hut is Leopold-Wittmaier-Hütte, located 0.2km west-northwest. bivouac Engelbert Mautner Hütte is also relatively close. Northeast of the summit is the valley Glawockengraben.
