Riffelscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2471 meters located in the High Tauern mountain range. The saddle is located 9 km west-southwest from the center of Böckstein and 11 km east-northeast from the center of Schachnern. The nearest mountain hut is Niedersachsenhaus, located 0.1km southwest. And Hinternaßfeldalm is also close by. 5 km south of the saddle there is lake Weißsee. 3 km south from the saddle there is glacier Mölltaler Gletscher, 4 km south-southeast from the saddle there is also glacier Schapperebenkees. South-southwest of the saddle is the valley Zirknitztal.
