The peak is located 8 km east-northeast from the center of Weißbach bei Lofer and 9 km north from the center of Hohlwegen and 0.5 km northeast of peak Hocheishörnl. The nearest mountain hut is Bergheim Hirschbichl, located 3km west. A little further is Lahnwald-Diensthütte. West of the summit is the valley Pillerseetal.
