Maj is 1142 meter high peak. The peak is located 1.1 km southeast of peak Suhi vrh. The nearest mountain hut is Vojkova koča, located 3km southwest. A bit closer is bivouac kaverna, which is located 1.1km to the west-northwest. Northeast of the summit is the valley Podgora. The peak is located above Votla stena.
