Pfaffenstein Westgipfel is 1865 meter high peak with a registration box and a cross in the Hochschwab Mountains. The peak is located 3 km northeast from the center of Eisenerz and 10 km south from the center of Hinterwildalpen. The nearest mountain hut is Gsollhütte, located 4km east. A bit closer is Hasenkeusche, which is located 2km to the north-northwest. 4 km west-northwest of the peak there is lake Leopoldsteiner See. Northwest of the summit is the valley Frenzgraben.
