Fraganter Scharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2754 meters located in the High Tauern mountain range. The saddle is located 0.4 km south-southwest of peak Herzog-Ernst-Spitze. The nearest mountain hut is Niedersachsenhaus, located 2km north-northeast. A little further is Brandtneralm. 3 km south-southeast of the saddle there is lake Weißsee. 1.3 km east-southeast from the saddle there is glacier Mölltaler Gletscher, 3 km east-southeast from the saddle there is also glacier Schapperebenkees. The saddle is located above the valley Wintergasse.
