Stangersattel is a saddle at an altitude of 2060 meters located in the Lower Tauern mountain range. The saddle is located 4 km northeast from the center of Hüttschlag and 6 km southeast from the center of Großarl. The nearest mountain hut is Filzmoosalm, located 2km northeast. A bit closer is Brandeggalm, which is located 1.8km to the east-southeast. 4 km east of the saddle there is lake Tappenkarsee. South of the saddle is the valley Kleinelendtal.
