The saddle is located 5 km south-southwest from the center of Kleinarl and 7 km east from the center of Großarl. The nearest mountain hut is Loosbühelalm (Klausalm), located 0.6km south. Roßfeldalm is also relatively close. 5 km south-southeast of the saddle there is lake Tappenkarsee. The saddle is located north of the valley Kleinelendtal.
