The peak is located 1.3 km south-southeast from the center of Neuhaus and 9 km west-southwest from the center of Mitterbach-Seerotte. The nearest mountain hut is Terzerhaus, located 6km northeast. A bit closer is Möserhütte, which is located 2km to the west-northwest. 7 km east-northeast of the peak there is lake Erlaufsee. West-southwest of the summit is the valley Im Tiefen Grund.
