The saddle is located 6 km south-southeast from the center of Lamnitz and 6 km north-northwest from the center of Stresweg. The nearest mountain hut is Zechneralm, located 1.8km north-northeast. Even closer is Ochsenalm, which is located 1.7km to the east. North-northwest of the saddle is the valley Mölltal.
