The nearest mountain hut is untere Astenalm, located 2km east-southeast. Closer is Bockhartseehütte, which is located 1.8km to the south-southwest. 6 km southwest from the saddle there is glacier Mölltaler Gletscher, 7 km south-southwest from the saddle there is also glacier Schapperebenkees.
