Edelsberg is 717 meter high peak and is part of the Prealps East of the Mur. The peak is located 1.3 km west-southwest from the center of Edelsdorf and 1.6 km east-northeast from the center of Jasnitz. The nearest mountain hut is Leopold-Wittmaier-Hütte, located 7km east-northeast. A little further is Atzis Holzknechthütte. Northeast of the summit is the valley Glawockengraben.
