The nearest mountain hut is Gleiwitzer Hütte, located 3km north-northeast. A little further is bivouac Gruberscharten-Biwak. 3 km south from the summit there is glacier Wielingerkees, 3 km southeast from the summit there is also glacier Walcher Kees. The peak is located northwest of the valley Käfertal.
