The peak is located 4 km west-southwest from the center of Gschwandt and 5 km west-southwest from the center of Bad Goisern. The nearest mountain hut is Goiserer Hütte, located 0.2km south. A little further is bivouac Wallmann-Poidl-Rast. Northeast of the summit is the valley Rettenbachtal.
