Freiwandspitz is 3034 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located in country Austria 1.4 km south-southwest of peak Sinwelleck. The nearest mountain hut is Glocknerhaus, located 2km southeast. A little further is bivouac Glocknerbiwak. 2 km south of the peak there is lake Sandersee. 1.0 km north from the summit there is glacier Freiwandkees, 2 km west from the summit there is also glacier Pasterze. North-northeast of the summit is the valley Käfertal.
