Description:
Kres is 572 meter high peak located in the Julian Alps mountain range. The peak is located 0.6 km northwest from the center of Železniki and 1.2 km west-northwest from the center of Studeno. The nearest mountain hut is Krekova koča na Ratitovcu, located 6km west. A bit closer is bivouac Lovska koča na Toli, which is located 4km to the west. West of the summit is the valley Baška grapa.
