Ortberg is 2401 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 4 km west from the center of Böckstein and 6 km west-southwest from the center of Bad Gastein and 1.8 km southwest of peak Zitterauer Tisch. The nearest mountain hut is untere Astenalm, located 2km east-southeast. A little further is Holzeckhütte. 7 km south-southwest from the summit there is glacier Schapperebenkees, 7 km southwest from the summit there is also glacier Mölltaler Gletscher. Southeast of the summit is the valley Seebachtal.
