Zutrugenspitze is 2662 meter high peak and is part of the Schober Group. The peak is located 5 km northeast from the center of Sankt Johann im Walde and 5 km north from the center of Gwabl and 0.8 km southeast of peak Kreuzspitze. The nearest mountain hut is Hochschoberhütte, located 2km east-southeast. A little further is bivouac Gösnitzkopf-Biwak. West-northwest of the summit is the valley Kalser Tal.
