Graukogel is 2985 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 0.5 km west of peak Grauer Schimmel. The nearest mountain hut is Sudetendeutsche Hütte, located 3km south. A little further is bivouac Karl-Fürst-Hütte. 1.8 km south-southeast from the summit there is glacier Gradötzkees, 5 km north-northeast from the summit there is also glacier Granatspitzkees. The peak is located northwest of the valley Dorfer Tal.
