Kampl is 3061 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 6 km east-northeast from the center of Berg and 7 km east-northeast from the center of Gruben and 0.3 km north-northeast of peak Kleiner Muntanitz. The nearest mountain hut is Kalser Tauernhaus, located 3km east. A little further is bivouac Karl-Fürst-Hütte. 0.8 km south-southeast from the summit there is glacier Gradötzkees, 5 km northeast from the summit there is also glacier Vorderes Kastenkees. The peak is located northwest of the valley Dorfer Tal.
