Windischkopf is 2837 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 8 km east-northeast from the center of Schachnern and 8 km east-northeast from the center of Apriach. The nearest mountain hut is Rojacher Hütte, located 1.2km north-northwest. Trögeralmhütte is also relatively close. 4 km southeast of the peak there is lake Weißsee. 3 km east from the summit there is glacier Mölltaler Gletscher, 4 km east-southeast from the summit there is also glacier Schapperebenkees. West-northwest of the summit is the valley Kleinfleißtal.
