The nearest mountain hut is Glorerhütte, located 0.9km east. And bivouac Rübezahlhütte is also close by. 5 km northeast of the saddle there is lake Sandersee. 4 km north from the saddle there is glacier Hofmannskees, 4 km north-northwest from the saddle there is also glacier Ködnitzkees. The saddle is located above the valley Ködnitztal.
