The peak is located 9 km east from the center of Enzingerboden and 10 km southwest from the center of Fusch an der Großglocknerstraße. The nearest mountain hut is Heinrich Schwaiger Haus, located 0.4km west-southwest. And bivouac Gruberscharten-Biwak is also close by. 0.6 km east from the summit there is glacier Wielingerkees, 2 km east from the summit there is also glacier Sandbodenkees. The peak is located north-northwest of the valley Käfertal.
