Vorderer Bratschenkopf is 3401 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 10 km east-southeast from the center of Enzingerboden and 11 km southwest from the center of Fusch an der Großglocknerstraße. The nearest mountain hut is Heinrich Schwaiger Haus, located 1.8km north-northwest. Even closer is bivouac Gruberscharten-Biwak, which is located 1.6km to the southwest. 1.3 km south-southwest from the summit there is glacier Hochgruberkees, 1.9 km north from the summit there is also glacier Wielingerkees. South-southeast of the summit is the valley Käfertal.
