And bivouac Gruberscharten-Biwak is also close by. 6 km south of the saddle there is lake Sandersee. 1.8 km west from the saddle there is glacier Nördliches Bockkarkees, 1.9 km northwest from the saddle there is also glacier Hochgruberkees.
