The peak is located 6 km west-southwest from the center of Fusch an der Großglocknerstraße and 7 km south from the center of Kaprun. The nearest mountain hut is Gleiwitzer Hütte, located 1.6km northeast. And Wurf Hochalm is also close by. 4 km south-southeast from the summit there is glacier Walcher Kees, 5 km south-southeast from the summit there is also glacier Sandbodenkees. The peak is located northwest of the valley Käfertal.
