Leitachkogel is 2677 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 8 km south-southeast from the center of Reitlehen and 8 km south-southwest from the center of Schattberg. The nearest mountain hut is Senninger Alm, located 3km west-northwest. A little further is Sauersteinalm. 5 km west-southwest from the summit there is glacier Waidsfeldkees. Southwest of the summit is the valley Habachtal.
