Raucheck is 2189 meter high peak and is part of the Dachstein Mountains. The peak is located 6 km northeast from the center of Filzmoos and 7 km north from the center of Mandling. The nearest mountain hut is Dachsteinsüdwandhütte, located 2km east-southeast. A little further is bivouac Ramsau Brückenhof. 2 km north-northeast from the summit there is glacier Großer Gosaugletscher, 4 km east from the summit there is also glacier Schladminger Gletscher. South-southeast of the summit is the valley Preunegg. The peak is located below the ridge Windlegergrat.
