The nearest mountain hut is Elberfelder Hütte, located 2.0km west-southwest. A little further is bivouac Gösnitzkopf-Biwak. 1.3 km south-southwest from the saddle there is glacier Hornkees. The saddle is located above the valley Gössnitztal.
