The peak is located 4 km south-southeast from the center of Eck and 4 km northeast from the center of Bad Goisern. The nearest mountain hut is Rathlucken Hütte, located 2km southwest. A little further is bivouac Bad Goisern Kurhotel. North of the summit is the valley Rettenbachtal.
