The peak is located 3 km west-southwest from the center of Hintermuhr and 5 km west from the center of Muhr and 1.4 km north-northwest of peak Eisenkopf. The nearest mountain hut is Rotgüldenseehütte, located 1.2km west. bivouac Albert-Biwak is also relatively close. Southeast of the summit is the valley Pöllatal.
