Pillsteiner Höhe is 1581 meter high peak with a cross and a summit register in the Hochschwab Mountains. The peak is located 4 km west-northwest from the center of Sankt Ilgen and 5 km northeast from the center of Tragöß - Oberort and 2 km east-northeast of peak Messnerin. The nearest mountain hut is Joser-Alm, located 3km west-northwest. A little further is bivouac Fleischer-Biwak. Northeast of the summit is the valley Höllgraben.
