The saddle is located 5 km east-southeast from the center of Krimml and 5 km south-southeast from the center of Vorderkrimml. The nearest mountain hut is Berndlalm, located 3km east-southeast. A little further is Niederalm. 7 km southwest from the saddle there is glacier Weißkarkees. The saddle is located above the valley Obersulzbachtal.
