Zwölferscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2371 meters located in the High Tauern mountain range. The saddle is located 4 km southeast from the center of Krimml and 4 km south from the center of Vorderkrimml. The nearest mountain hut is Berndlalm, located 4km east-southeast. A little further is Niederalm. 6 km southwest from the saddle there is glacier Weißkarkees, 6 km west-southwest from the saddle there is also glacier Wildkarkees. West-southwest of the saddle is the valley Krimmler Achental.
