Burgstein is 665 meter high peak in the Upper Austrian Prealps. The peak is located 1.8 km north-northwest from the center of Neudorf and 1.9 km west-southwest from the center of Lindau. The nearest mountain hut is Amstettner Hütte, located 8km east. A bit closer is bivouac Kreuzberg-Ritter Schutzhütte, which is located 4km to the south. West-northwest of the summit is the valley Neustiftgraben.
