The nearest mountain hut is Villacher Hütte, located 1.8km north. And Ritterhütte is also close by. 0.5 km northwest of the saddle there is lake Mittlerer Hochalmsee. 4 km west-northwest from the saddle there is glacier Trippkees, 5 km west-northwest from the saddle there is also glacier Großelendkees. The saddle is located above the valley Gößgraben.
