Hörndl is 1325 meter high peak located in the Lower Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 3 km east from the center of Michaelerberg and 3 km west-northwest from the center of Großsölk. The nearest mountain hut is Adambauerhütte, located 5km east. A bit closer is bivouac Moosheim Abzw Gröbming Bahnhof, which is located 2km to the northwest. South of the summit is the valley Rantengraben.
