Maurerkogel is 2995 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 5 km east-northeast from the center of Enzingerboden and 10 km south-southeast from the center of Niedernsill. The nearest mountain hut is Krefelder Hütte, located 3km northeast. Voglstätt Hochalm is a bit further away. 0.6 km east-northeast from the summit there is glacier Schmiedingerkees, 0.6 km north-northwest from the summit there is also glacier Maurergletscher. The peak is located north-northeast of the valley Dorfer Tal.
