Hochfeld is 715 meter high peak in the Prealps East of the Mur. The peak is located 1.6 km north-northeast from the center of Pinggau and 2 km north-northeast from the center of Friedberg. The nearest mountain hut is Glatzl Trahütten, located 9km west-northwest. A bit closer is bivouac Salaerium, which is located 7km to the north-northwest. North of the summit is the valley Kohlgraben.
