Schachenkarscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2801 meters located in the High Tauern mountain range. The saddle is located 9 km south-southeast from the center of Krimml and 11 km south from the center of Vorderkrimml. The nearest mountain hut is Postalm, located 4km east. A little further is bivouac Neugersdorfer Hütte. 0.5 km southeast from the saddle there is glacier Weiglkarkees, 1.3 km southeast from the saddle there is also glacier Kl. Jaidbachkees. The saddle is located above the valley Krimmler Achental.
