The nearest mountain hut is Staudleralm, located 3km southwest. Closer is bivouac Karl-Fürst-Hütte, which is located 2km to the northeast. 0.8 km north-northeast from the saddle there is glacier Daberkees, 3 km northeast from the saddle there is also glacier Landeggkees. West of the saddle is the valley Tauerntal.
