The peak is located 9 km north-northwest from the center of Hintergöriach and 10 km north from the center of Weißpriach and 0.4 km northeast of peak Rotsandspitze. The nearest mountain hut is Landawirseehütte, located 1.1km north. And bivouac Neualm is also close by. 0.6 km northwest of the peak there is lake Oberer Landawirsee. The peak is located south-southeast of the valley Obertal.
