Mittlerer Muntanitzpalfen is 3110 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 0.4 km south of peak Oberer Muntanitzpalfen. The nearest mountain hut is Kalser Tauernhaus, located 3km east. A little further is bivouac Karl-Fürst-Hütte. 0.6 km south-southwest from the summit there is glacier Gradötzkees, 5 km northeast from the summit there is also glacier Vorderes Kastenkees. East-northeast of the summit is the valley Dorfer Tal.
